Is Henry Cavill a natural superhero? Zack Snyder shares another new image of the Snyderverse’s Superman actor on his social media pages.
Zack Snyder has been taking a walk down memory lane recently when it comes to the Snyderverse. The director has been posting images of the franchise’s cast on his social media, including never-before-seen images of Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman. All these images, seemingly, coming from the production of Justice League.
Taking to Instagram, Zack Snyder has yet another image to share with Snyderverse fans. This one is once again of Henry Cavill, showing him in what appears to be his original Superman suit (although it could be a redesigned one that never saw the light of day). Given the background, it’s also possible this shot could have been from one of the Knightmare scenes- or at least the test shots for one.
Is Henry Cavill Coming Back As Superman?
There has been a small amount of hope in recent weeks that the Snyderverse may end up being restored. Fans have long been advocating for Netflix to purchase the rights to the DC Universe so Zack Snyder can see through his vision. Coincidentally, Netflix is currently the frontrunner to buy Warner Bros. Discovery, leaving many convinced Henry Cavill is only months away from making a return as Superman.
However, reports have shown that most companies interested in buying Warner Bros. Discovery will likely keep James Gunn and Peter Safran on board as the heads of DC Studios. So, sadly, it seems the Snyderverse won’t be restored anytime soon. Though given Zack Snyder’s relationship with Netflix, it’s certainly possible he makes a new DC project if the purchase goes through. And while Henry Cavill wouldn’t be playing Superman, he could certainly be any number of other DC heroes.
