Is Zack Snyder cooking up an announcement? The director’s recent anniversary post for the Justice League Snyder Cut has sparked speculation among fans.
Ever since the Snyder Cut found its way onto streaming, there’s always been a small sect of people who believe Zack Snyder still isn’t done telling his story. Rather, Justice League being restored was just the first step in restoring the entire Snyderverse. Yet, now half a decade out from its debut, there still has yet to be an announcement about the franchise continuing.
Yet even if nothing has come from the Snyderverse yet, that hasn’t stopped fans from launching speculation off even the slightest of “clues” from Zack Snyder. Case in point: the director made a post celebrating the Snydercut’s anniversary next week. He ended his caption with a quote from Justice League, teasing that he still feels the “Age of Heroes”. This has ignited speculation that, perhaps, an announcement could be on its way.
“Eight days from now we mark the fifth anniversary of Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Diana: ‘You said the age of heroes would never come again.’ Bruce: ‘It will. It has to.’ Five years later… and the age of heroes still feels very real.”
Is Zack Snyder Gearing Up For An Announcement?
Generally, it’s not good to bet that any of Zack Snyder’s teases will result in any Snyderverse content. Mostly, since every bit of speculation fans have had since the release of Justice League has resulted in nothing. Though with this being the fifth year anniversary, it’s possible that something big could be around the corner.
Of course, this wouldn’t be a continuation of the Snyderverse. If this speculation DOES result in some kind of announcement by Zack Snyder, it would most likely be about merch for his Snyder Cut of Justice League. More specifically, a good guess would be a special steelbook re-release of the DVD, or potentially a poster set.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League is currently streaming on HBO Max. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe!
