See Intimidating Darkseid Design For Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League’

Darkseid is... Terrifying.

A cool new fan edit for Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut gives Ray Porter’s Darkseid an intimidating design in the DC Extended Universe.

One of the most anticipated elements of the Justice League cut heading to HBO Max next year is undeniably Zack Snyder’s take on the DC Comics villain Darkseid. Ray Porter originally brought the villain to life and has previously expressed his excitement that the iconic character will finally be seen in the film. The actor also voiced his support for Ava DuVernay since she’s directing New Gods, pointing out that she should be able to cast who she likes as Darkseid. Now, new artwork shows off what the villain could look like in the Snyder Cut.

The artwork comes from a digital artist known as “spdrmnkyxxiii” on Instagram, and it imagines Darkseid’s classic costume in a realistic way. It takes some cues from the villain’s appearance in the Injustice 2 game, but also looks like it would fit right in to Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut. Maybe it’s the piercing red eyes or the hulking composure, but this is a Darkseid the team would definitely struggle to defeat. Take a look at the design below.

What do you think of the scary design for Zack Snyder’s Darkseid? Are you excited to see the film when it arrives on HBO Max? Let us know in the comments!

Here is the official synopsis for Zack Snyder’s Justice League:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
