Darkseid is... okay with someone else playing the role in New Gods.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League star Ray Porter recently addressed his future with the Darkseid role and possibly appearing in Ava DuVernay’s New Gods movie.

Darkseid is arguably the DC Universe’s most powerful villain and will make his live-action debut in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. We also know Darkseid will play a prominent role in Ava DuVernay’s upcoming New Gods film as well. Since Warner Bros. and DC are loose when it comes to their cinematic universe which is now expanding into the multiverse, it’s unclear if the two projects will feature the same Darkseid.

Ray Porter portrayed Darkseid in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, but Ava DuVeray is more likely to cast someone else in the role for New Gods. A few months back, Porter admitted that he has not heard about anything about having a role in New Gods. Porter has now supported whatever route DuVernay goes in with Darkseid while responding to fan support on Twitter.

Here is the synopsis for Zack Snyder’s Justice League:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut will arrive on HBO Max in 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news on New Gods and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more video content in the future!
