‘Justice League’: Zack Snyder Says Warner Bros. Has No Interest In Sequel

'Justice League 2' isn't in the works.

Zack Snyder Justice League 2 Warner Bros

Justice League director Zack Snyder says Warner Bros. has no interest in producing Justice League 2.

It’s been a long road for Zack Snyder fans as they fought to get Justice League released in the way the filmmaker originally intended. And although many have expressed an interest in seeing more films or stories from the timeline Snyder’s exploring, it doesn’t seem like Warner Bros. is interested in bringing Justice League 2 to the big screen. The director previously revealed what he had planned for characters like the Joker, saying that he’s spoken to Jim Lee about continuing the story in some form.

When speaking to I Minutemen on YouTube, Zack Snyder explained “there’s no interest and/or appetite to do more of these movies from Warner Bros.” Since the grand new trailer for the film teased the likes of Darkseid, DeSaad and Granny Goodness, many fans are understandably disappointed that there won’t be an opportunity to explore these characters further in Justice League 2. But at least the first film is getting released. Take a look at Snyder’s comments about Warner Bros. below.

“The reality is, as far as I know, there’s no interest and/or appetite to do more of these movies from Warner Bros. With me, anyway. But I didn’t think making this, finishing this film correctly would ever happen. But I did do my best to — as far as the creation of the Justice League, those different personalities being brought together — that idea, that’s what this movie is about.”

Would you like to see Warner Bros. give Justice League 2 the green light? Do you want to see more from Darkseid, DeSaad and Granny Goodness? Sound-off in the comments below!

Here is the official synopsis for the Zack Snyder cut:

“In ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.”

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut is expected to hit WarnerMedia’s HBO Max on March 18, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the Zack Snyder Cut and Justice League 2, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
