Zack Snyder’s true vision for Rebel Moon is officially coming to Netflix! The official red band trailer for the film’s Director’s Cut has been released.
Many fans were disappointed by Rebel Moon when it first hit Netflix. While still delivering on everything Zack Snyder’s fans enjoy of the director, it felt relatively tame compared to the potential of the concept. Though with Snyder confirming a director’s cut of the project was in the works, that disappointment was ultimately on a timer.
Now three months out from the last installment in the Rebel Moon universe, Netflix has finally put out its first trailer for Zack Snyder’s director’s cut of the two projects. This is complete with a release date for both films, now retitled Chapter One: Chalice of Blood and Chapter Two: Curse of Forgiveness, being revealed as August 2nd.
The Future Of Rebel Moon On Netflix
As stated, Rebel Moon didn’t hit exactly the way fans expected it to when it was finally released on Netflix. When speaking on these negative reviews ahead of the director’s cut, Zack Snyder made it clear that he knows how polarising his films can be, and that’s just how things are.
Given the wording of the trailer, it’s unclear if the director’s cut of Rebel Moon will be edited into a single part, or if Zack Snyder plans to release both films on the same day. Either way, this is likely to be the last of Rebel Moon on Netflix, at least for the time being, unless these cuts can pull in a massive wave of new viewers.
