Zoe Saldana shares a brand-new behind-the-scenes look at Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
One of the arcs we’re looking forward to seeing in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is Gamora’s. The last time we saw her, Gamora was being thrown off a cliff by her father in exchange for an Infinity Stone in the aptly titled Avengers: Infinity War. The news of Gamora’s death led Peter Quill to go berserk on Thanos, which inadvertently allowed the Mad Titan to snap half the population away.
After a five-year gap, Gamora returned as her 2014-self in Avengers: Endgame thanks to some convenient time travel. While she ultimately does play a part in defeating Thanos, she has no knowledge of the Guardians of the Galaxy, nor the love she shares with Quill.
Cut to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and we don’t know what’s going to transpire between the two former lovebirds. While we know that Adam Warlock is set to be a pivotal part of the threequel, details are slim on James Gunn’s plan. We don’t know if Gamora will return to the Guardians of the Galaxy or if the team will have to coax her into rejoining but one thing is for certain: she’s rocking a new, comic-accurate look.
Gamora star Zoe Saldana took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes look at Gamora from the upcoming film. While nothing sees out of the ordinary if you take a closer look at the alien’s eyeshadow you’ll see that she’s sporting some golden makeup. The golden eyeshadow look has been a staple for the character in the comics but it’s the first time the live-action rendition of the character has taken from it.
