6: Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman Costume On Supergirl
Andy Behbakht: We all know at this point that Tyler Hoechlin will be coming to Supergirl as Superman in the first two episodes of Season 2, but we have yet to see his costume. I think Comic-Con is the perfect place to reveal his Superman costume, but here is a thing that they would have to think about. I watch this show for Kara Zor-El, not Superman, so if there would be a costume reveal made at Comic-Con for him, I wouldn’t want that to be the biggest thing to be revealed at that panel. This is Kara’s show, not Clark’s and a panel that is about her show and story, shouldn’t make a costume reveal of her cousin the biggest thing of their event. So while I do want and think a Superman costume reveal is appropriate for Comic-Con, I just don’t want it to take away the focus from the Girl of Steel, but I trust these producers to have plenty of surprises to give us at that panel.
Christian Stoic: The first Season of Supergirl was a success. It had a fairly rocky start, but steadily improved as the season went on and now that it is moving to the CW, it has a lot in store for this new season. Arguably one of the biggest revelations is that Tyler Hoechlin will be taking on the mantle of Superman for the series, which in this first season they were able to avoid showing what he looked like. Now with Superman cast it would be wonderful of them to reveal the costume for this version. An image or a new look at the show would be welcome and as someone who wanted Superman to appear on the show, I am really looking forward to seeing more of him.
