5: Updates On Rumored DC Films
Andy Behbakht: In the past few months as well as last year, we have heard rumblings of so many possible DC Films like Lobo, Teen Titans, Birds of Prey (which is supposedly the Margot Robbie lead project) and recently Booster Gold. We have seen the acknowledgment that some of these are being worked at, with Greg Berlanti confirming that he is working Warner Bros. on Booster Gold along with screenwriter and The Flash TV producer Zack Stentz. In addition, Jason Fuchs has been giving hints at his Instagram that he is indeed writing a Lobo screenplay. But what I really want for some of these projects is some big updates and acknowledgement that the DC Extended Universe is giving birth to so many DC Comics characters. Maybe they could do a similar short presentation like they did at Comic-Con last year with showing concept art of Green Lantern Corps, The Flash and more.
Christian Stoic: There have been a few rumored DC films that have been in contention for some time. They specifically concern an adaptation of Lobo and especially for Shazam, which has Dwayne Johnson attached to play Black Adam. These films have been very quiet and kind of running around the rumor circuit for some time. There hasn’t been any real update on the progress these projects are making. If they are going to reveal more information on either one of these projects then SDCC should be the place to make the biggest wave. I’ve been interested in both projects for some time and it would be great to be able to decipher between the rumors and the facts and especially whether or not these projects are a part of the DC Extended Universe.
