ABC is in early talks with Marvel’s Kevin Feige to bring a superhero series to the broadcast network.
Kevin Feige’s plans for the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe include multiple television series for Disney Plus. During an interview with Deadline at the Winter TCA press tour, ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke revealed that they are in early talks with Kevin Feige to bring a Marvel series to the network, although details on which characters would be ideal for a new broadcast have not been discussed yet. Burke also noted that Kevin Feige is currently focused on the Marvel projects being developed for Disney Plus:
“We love our partners at Marvel and we’re sad to see [Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D] go, it’s been a big part of our history. We’re looking forward to working with Kevin Feige and we’re at the very beginning of conversations with him now about what a Marvel and ABC show might look like. Right now, Marvel’s focus has been on Disney+, as it should be.”
