Adam Scott and Emma Roberts are both rumored to play major Spider-Man characters in Sony’s Madame Web film.

In the wake of Morbiusmania, Sony has two more Marvel projects in the pipeline. The studio’s next film will follow Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the Spider-Man villain, Kraven the Hunter. A Madame Web film led by Dakota Johnson has also been filming in Boston. Now rumors from Reddit and the Cosmic Circus might reveal who the rest of the cast is playing.

While many have guessed that Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney might be playing Silver Sable or Black Cat, she will apparently play Julia Carpenter, the second Madame Web in the comics. Celeste O’Connor is rumored to be playing Mattie Franklin, and Isabela Merced could be Anya Corazo.

The Untold Story Begins Again?

The upcoming Madame Web film will also star Adam Scott and Emma Roberts, and their roles might provide a direct connection to Spider-Man. Scott is rumored to play Ben Parker, while Roberts is said to be Peter Parker’s mother, Mary.

In the comics, Peter’s parents are notably SHIELD agents, and Madame Web might feature an element of that. It also wouldn’t be the first time Sony would attempt to explore Peter’s parents, who played a pivotal role in Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man series.

Here is the synopsis for Sony’s most recent Marvel film, Morbius:

“One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar® winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero, Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed and transforms this healer into a hunter.”

Directed by Daniel Espinosa from a script written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, Morbius stars Jared Leto, Adria Arjona, Matt Smith, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal, and Tyrese Gibson. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach produced the project with Lucas Foster, with Palak Patel overseeing it for Sony.

Morbius is available on all home media formats, while Madame Web will hit theaters on October 6, 2023. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news regarding Madame Web, and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
