Madame Web stars Dakota Johnson as the titular Marvel mystic, with a recent set video suggesting she is playing the Julia Carpenter version of the character, rather than the original Cassandra Webb iteration. Adam Scott’s role in the upcoming Spider-Man spin-off is not yet known.

‘Madame Web’ Filming Continues
Filming began on Madame Web earlier this month, with news of Adam Scott’s casting breaking around the same time production began.
The first set photos to emerge from Madame Web revealed it would be set in New York in the early 2000s. While the new set photos give little away, the scenes being shot with Adam Scott also appear to take place in this era. The actor’s casual attire gives away no hint of who he may be playing.

Details of the film’s plot remain scarce and rumors are continuing to swirl suggesting it will be a crossover movie, featuring several female spider-powered Marvel heroes. Fans may have to wait for any definitive answers. Before Madame Web is relases, Sony has another Spider-Man spin-off lined up in the form of Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Kraven the Hunter.
Here is the synopsis for Sony’s latest Spider-Man spin-off, Morbius:
One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar® winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero, Michael Morbius. What at first appears to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed and transforms this healer into a hunter.
Directed by Daniel Espinosa from a script written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, the film stars Jared Leto as the lead anti-hero, Adria Arjona, Matt Smith, Jared Harris, and Tyrese Gibson.
