Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor series has found its female lead as 6 Underground and Pacific Rim Uprising star Adria Arjona has joined the Star Wars project.
Deadline reports that Adria Arjona is set to appear opposite Diego Luna in the Cassian Andor series coming to the Disney Plus streaming service. The identity of Arjona’s character is a mystery. The actress joins cast that also includes Alan Tudyk, Denise Gough, Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgard and Kyle Soller.
Tony Gilroy, who co-wrote Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and handled the film’s much-discussed reshoots, is showrunning the Cassian Andor series, working with Stephen Schiff. Gilroy is also directing multiple episodes of the Rogue One spin-off series, including its pilot.
The Cassian Andor series will be set five years before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story during the early days of the rebellion. Full story details on the series are under wraps, though the project has been described as a “spy thriller.”
