Is Chloe Bennet finally making her return to the MCU? The latest rumor reveal’s that the actress’ time as Quake may not be over just yet.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. had a lot of faults as a series. It seemed to constantly oscillate back and forth on whether or not it was canon to the MCU, it held some absolutely bonkers storylines, and some character choices were…less than stellar. However, the show did manage to deliver on some of the best character writing in the franchise, with characters like Brett Dalton’s Grant Ward and Chloe Bennet’s Quake being some of the most beloved among those who’ve seen the project.
As such, fans have been hoping for some of its characters, specifically Quake, to return ever since the show ended. Especially given Marvel was now bringing Netflix actors like Charlie Cox into the MCU, it seemed natural that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stars like Chloe Bennet wouldn’t be far behind. However, as of writing, that corner of the universe has been all but forgotten by the creatives behind the franchise.
Will Chloe Bennet Return As Quake?
Yet there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans. A rumor from MyTimeToShineHello reveals that Chloe Bennet is officially set to make her return to the MCU as Quake. While it’s currently unclear where Marvel plans to bring the character back, it’s more likely than not that she’ll appear in Avengers: Secret Wars as a way to backdoor the series into canon.
This makes sense, especially given how the later seasons of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. played out. Fans can ignore things like HYDRA coming back off screen in the MCU. However, Marvel would have an uphill battle handwaving global Terrigenesis and the planet exploding. Fans just have to hope that the return amounts to more than just a small cameo, and Chloe Bennet can stay on as Quake for a long time to come.
