See ‘Aquaman’ Star Amber Heard As Sue Storm For ‘Fantastic Four’ Reboot

Amber Heard leaves the DC Extended Universe behind to join Marvel's First Family in the new design.

Aquaman star Amber Heard transforms into Fantastic Four member Sue Storm in a new concept for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Although she’ll next be seen in the Aquaman sequel, a fan-made image shows Amber Heard as Sue Storm for the Fantastic Four movie being developed by Marvel Studios. The star has been a huge topic of conversation recently following Johnny Depp’s libel case with The Sun after the publication called him a “wife-beater.” Many fans have already called for Heard to step down from the Aquaman sequel in a similar way to Depp’s Fantastic Beasts exit. Now, a concept design sees the actress entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe instead as Sue Storm for the Jon Watts-directed Fantastic Four.

The concept design from digital artist ApexForm on Instagram sees Amber Heard with a tactical version of the Fantastic Four’s typical uniform, leaning into the Future Foundation era of the comics. The Aquaman star looks like she’s standing in a new version of the Baxter Building, the base of the Fantastic Four. It’ll be interesting to see whether the old Avengers tower becomes their new base of operations. Take a look at Amber Heard as Sue Storm in Fantastic Four below.

What do you make of Amber Heard as Sue Storm? Would you like to see the Aquaman star in Marvel’s Fantastic Four? Which other actors should join the team? Share your thoughts in the comments!

During Marvel Studios’ Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Kevin Feige confirmed a Fantastic Four project is being developed for the MCU. However, the Fantastic Four project was not included in the Phase 4 slate announcement, leaving its place in the MCU a mystery at the time.
