Aquaman actress Amber Heard is looking to appeal the ruling in the Johnny Depp defamation case, and it’s going to cost her.

Earlier this month, the court came to a decision that ruled in favor of Johnny Depp in the high-profile defamation case against Aquaman‘s Amber Heard. Depp received $15 million, which was reduced to $10.35 million due to Virginia’s punitive damages limitations. Heard was awarded $2 million in damages.

The Saga Continues?

After the verdict was announced, Amber Heard shared her displeasure with the decision by the jury and that the coverage of the trial was unfair. On Friday, Judge Penney Azcarate shared that Heard can appeal the Johnny Depp case verdict for a $8.35 million bond with 6% interest per year, which comes out to $621k. The interest is due to the delay in collection. Heard’s rep has said the following in a statement:

“As stated in yesterday’s congressional hearings, you don’t ask for a pardon if you are innocent. And, you don’t decline to appeal if you know you are right.”
