Is Marvel Studios about to get its own Andor? A rumor suggests that writer Beau Willimon is in talks to helm an upcoming MCU project.

There’s been a lot of talk about what’s next for Beau Willimon. He was one of the main writers behind Andor, yet there’s been no news about where he’s headed next after the series ended with season 2. A dream for many is that he’d make the jump to the MCU, with Lucasfilms and Marvel Studios sharing their parent company in Disney.

And it seems those dreams might have been right on the money. A rumor from MyTimeToShineHello suggests that the Andor writer recently met with Marvel Studios to pen a project for the MCU. While it’s not clear what character Beau Willimon would tackle for the franchise, it’s more likely than not going to be in the form of a Disney Plus series given his TV writing background.

Beau Willimon’s Secret MCU Project

Obviously, given that Andor was a gritty space project in the Star Wars universe, some fans suspect that this rumor means he’s writing something similar for Marvel Studios. Out of all the candidates for what character could embody that energy, the obvious choice is Nova, whose series has been developed on again, off again, back on, and then off once more over the years.

Yet Beau Willimon has a longer history with House of Cards, a political thriller, whose DNA can clearly be seen in Andor. It’s possible that Marvel Studios has recruited the writer to clean up the espionage corner of their universe, potentially meaning that he could be the one to continue the stories started by the Secret Invasion series.

Secret Invasion is now streaming on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
