Rocksteady Superman Game Rumors Resurface Ahead Of Game Awards

Superman Rocksteady

A Superman game from Batman: Arkham developer Rocksteady has been heavily rumored for some time and the latest might be the most concrete yet.

It has been three years since Rocksteady closed out its Batman: Arkham Trilogy and fans have been speculating since then on what the game developer could be working on next. There have been rumors that the next game could be everything from Justice League to the Bat Family. However, the most consistent rumor is that the studio is working on an open-world Superman game. The latest rumor doesn’t come from Reddit or 4Chan but from Game System Requirements, where the title, Superman: World’s Finest was spotted on their website. For background, Devil May Cry 5 was listed on the website a month before the game was officially announced, so this could be the most concrete confirmation on Rocksteady’s Superman yet.

Cover art also surfaced around the internet before this year’s E3 with that same World’s Finest title. IGN also pointed out that Rocksteady has job listings referring to, “a AAA title on the next generation platforms.” While fans were disappointed when no announcement was made at this year’s E3, Rocksteady reached out to fans and said they will announce the secret project, “as soon as it’s ready.” The next opportunity for the developer to reveal their next game would be at The Game Awards, happening December 6 at 8:30 PM ET / 5:30 PM PT  on IGN. The Game Awards will feature 10 new game titles that will be announced during the show, so Rocksteady could finally reveal the heavily rumored game there.

Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest on Rocksteady’s next project as soon as we hear it!
