A brand new image from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania puts the spotlight on Kang actor Jonathan Majors.

Created by Marvel legends Stan Lee Jack Kirby, Kang the Conqueror is is known for his incredible intelligence and mastery of time travel. In the comics, Kang has a reputation as one of the Avengers’ most formidable foes, making his inclusion in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania a major event for Marvel fans.

Jonathan Majors, who will be bringing Kang to life, is a rising star in Hollywood, having appeared in several critically-acclaimed films and TV shows, including Da 5 Bloods and Lovecraft Country. With his talent and charismatic screen presence, Majors is sure to bring a new level of excitement to the role of Kang the Conqueror.

Kang makes his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut

The recently-released Quantumania image from Total Film shows Jonathan Majors as Kang. His outfit here is a departure from the traditional comic book appearance of Kang, but with his imposing stature and piercing gaze, Majors looks perfectly suited to bring the Marvel villain to life on the big screen.

The official Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania synopsis reads as follows: “Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Scott’s daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.”

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was directed Peyton Reed from a script written by Jeff Loveness. The movie also stars Evangeline Lilly as The Wasp, Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang, David Dastmalchian as Veb, Bill Murray as Lord Krylar, William Jackson Harper as Quaz, Katy O’Brian as Jentorra and Randall Park as Jimmy Woo. It arrives on February 17, 2023.
