Anthony Mackie joined Instagram as production on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier official begins.
After previously playing a supporting role as the Falcon in the Captain America and Avengers films, Anthony Mackie will take the lead alongside Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier in a new series centered on the duo. Now, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan have officially returned to their respective roles as The Falcon and the Winter Soldier officially begins filming.
Furthermore, Anthony Mackie joined Instagram just days before The Falcon and the Winter Soldier started production. While Anthony Mackie’s first Instagram post did not reveal any details on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, he did offer fans the chance to choose their favorite pair of shoes for him.

Anthony Mackie will reprise his role as Sam Wilson in Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, the series is rumored to center on Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes as the former finds himself facing resistance from the United States government and its opposition to him taking on the Captain America mantle.
