Anthony Mackie Teases Nick Fury Return In ‘The Falcon And The Winter Soldier’

Anthony Mackie recently teased that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier series could see the return of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

Nick Fury has been a key player in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since its inception for obvious reasons. It now looks like that will continue to be the case in the forthcoming phases, even though Nick Fury took a back seat at the beginning of Phase 3. The real Nick Fury appeared in the Spider-Man: Far From Home end-credits scene, setting up the agency known as S.W.O.R.D.

It’s unclear where Nick Fury will turn up next, but it’s presumed he will have a major role to play in Captain Marvel 2. Based off set photos, it looks like S.W.O.R.D. will be making an appearance in WandaVision, but Nick Fury could show up sooner in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. When asked by Extra about a possible Nick Fury appearance in the Disney Plus series, Anthony Mackie said the following:

“I hope so. I heard Falcon becomes Sam Jackson, that’s what I heard, so that’s what I’m hoping for. We ain’t finished shooting yet, so I hope he just show up one day and bless us with his presence.”
