Armie Hammer Becomes Green Lantern Hal Jordan In Awesome New Fan Art

The new concept design also shows off what a new live-action Green Lantern suit could look like.

Armie Hammer Green Lantern DCEU Hal Jordan

Call Me by Your Name star Armie Hammer transforms into the Hal Jordan version of Green Lantern in an impressive new concept design.

With a Green Lantern series in the works at HBO Max, a digital artist has shared artwork of Armie Hammer as the cosmic hero, showing his version of Hal Jordan with the classic green costume. Little is known about the series aside from the fact that it’ll feature two members of the Corps on Earth as well as the iconic DC Comics villain Sinestro. It’s not clear if that duo will feature Jordan and John Stewart or newer heroes like Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz.

This awesome concept design from a digital artist who goes by ‘valentinromeroart’ on Instagram sees Armie Hammer don the iconic mask and costume as part of the Green Lantern Corps. Hammer is often fancast as DC heroes, but it’s hard to deny that he looks perfect for the role of Hal Jordan when seeing the artwork. Interestingly, his costume seems to take its cues from the John Stewart look, with the green shoulders and chest instead of a full green torso. Take a look at Hammer as Hal Jordan below.

Green Lantern Corps movie is currently in development with Geoff Johns on board as a writer and producer. Full details on the movie are being kept under lock and key, though the project will draw inspiration from Geoff Johns’ work on the New 52 comics with both Hal Jordan and John Stewart set to appear in the project.

In addition to the the Green Lantern and Justice League Dark projects, HBO Max is developing a Strange Adventures DC anthology series and a DC Super Hero High show from Elizabeth Banks. News of the Green Lantern series arrived shortly after reports of HBO Max planning to produce DC projects with budgets on par with those of feature films.
