A new report suggests that a few Arrowverse shows on The CW might end soon.
Some significant changes appear to be on the way for DC and The CW following the Warner Bros. and Discovery merger. It was recently revealed that The CW was thinking about concluding Grant Gustin’s The Flash with its ninth season. According to Deadline, that might not be the only Arrowverse series in jeopardy.
The Hollywood trade recently shared that only half of the four Arrowverse shows on The CW could receive another season. Since The Flash and Superman & Lois already received renewals, that leaves Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, and Naomi. The CW is also looking to add a Gotham Knights series to its programming, with the pilot currently filming.
Here is the premise for Gotham Knights:
In the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights.
Written by Batwoman‘s Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux, and Natalie Abrams, the pilot will star Oscar Morgan as Turner Hayes, Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela Dent, Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelley, Fallon Smythe as Harper Row, Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Row, Misha Collins as Harvey Dent, Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown, and Rahart Adams as Brody.
