‘Agatha: Coven Of Chaos’ Adds Aubrey Plaza In Villainous Role

Aubrey Plaza has officially joined the cast of Marvel’s Disney Plus series Agatha: Coven of Chaos.

The Illuminerdi brings word that Aubrey Plaza has boarded the upcoming Marvel Studios series Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Variety confirmed the news before Deadline revealed that Plaza is playing a villain, though the identity of her character is currently unknown.

Aubrey Plaza is best known for her work in the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation and the FX comic book series Legion. She can currently be seen in The White Lotus on HBO. Her Agatha: Coven of Chaos casting comes on the same week as the addition of Heartstopper breakout Joe Locke.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos is a WandaVision spin-off series that revolves around Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness. The series is being developed by Jac Schaefer, the head scribe and executive producer of WandaVision and one of the writers behind 2019’s Captain Marvel and 2021’s Black Widow. Another spin-off series focusing on The Vision is currently in the works at Marvel Studios.

Who else is attached to Agatha: Coven of Chaos?

In addition to Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke and Aubrey Plaza, Agatha: Coven of Chaos also features Emma Caulfield. The actress made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in WandaVision, playing Westview resident Dottie Jones, a.k.a. Sarah Proctor.

Production on Agatha: Coven of Chaos is expected to kick off later this month, with the series rumored to be using the working title “My Pretty.” The first episode of the series is looking to premiere in Winter 2023 on Disney Plus.
