New Gods director Ava DuVernay has made it clear where she stands on the Darkseid vs Thanos debate, and her position should come as no great surprise to DC fans.
Earlier this week, Ava DuVernay took to Twitter to respond to the Darkseid vs Thanos debate. The New Gods director agreed that even with all of the Infinity Stones at his disposal, Thanos would be no match for Darkseid himself. You can check out her tweet below.

Ava DuVernay is set to direct The New Gods from a script written by Tom King. The director boarded the project in the spring of 2018 and with Tom King now attached, the film finally appears to be moving forward.
Plot details remain under wraps, however, the film will be based on characters created and designed by Jack Kirby. Ava DuVernay has previously teased Big Barda, along with Highfather, Orion and even Darkseid for the New Gods film as well. The film has been rumored to focus on Mister Miracle and Big Barda trying to escape the hellish planet known as Apokolips. There will also be political conflict between Apokolips and its rival world, New Genesis.
Warner Bros. and DC Films have many other projects in development including The Batman, The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, Black Adam, and Supergirl.
The DCEU continues next with Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), on February 7, 2020, and Wonder Woman 1984 on June 5, 2020. A standalone Joker film set outside of the DC Films universe starring Joaquin Phoenix as the Clown Prince of Crime is also set to hit theaters October 4, 2019.
