Avengers: Endgame star Benedict Wong had a humorous response to the behind-the-scenes “wedding” images shared by Mark Ruffalo.
In the final moments of Avengers: Endgame, nearly every hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe assembled for the funeral of Tony Stark, who sacrificed himself by using the Infinity Stones to vanquish Thanos. However, the creative team informed the cast that the scene they were filming was actually a wedding in order to keep the fate of Iron Man a secret.
With the release of the film now over a month behind us, Mark Ruffalo decided to share a handful of behind-the-scenes images from the day the cast united to film the aforementioned scene. In response to Ruffalo’s post, Benedict Wong posted a comment reading, “He said he was going to invite me to his wedding.” This comment is, of course, a reference to the moment in Avengers: Infinity War where Tony Stark promised to invite Benedict Wong’s sorcerer to his wedding after Wong saved him during the New York battle against Thanos’ minions.
