New Avengers: Endgame concept art shows off a comic book-accurate look for Hawkeye’s Ronin persona.
The Marvel Studios epic Avengers: Endgame saw Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton adopting the identity of Ronin following the disappearance of his family due to “the snap.” Clint eventually dropped the persona and reunited with the Avengers, and now the character is set to return in a Disney Plus series that is expected to see him pass the Hawkeye mantle on to a younger archer.
Earlier this week, Avengers: Endgame concept artist Wesley Burt shared an unused, alternate look for Jeremy Renner’s Ronin, showing the character with a black costume that includes gold accents. Burt’s Avengers design pays homage to Ronin’s comic book look and artists such as David Finch and Joe Quesada. You can check it out below.
One of a bunch of Ronin designs I did, he was one of the first assignments I worked on for for Marvel visdev in early 2016, and funny enough got to learn all about the snap, the 5 year time jump, and everything else over the phone call brief for Clint https://t.co/2HGLc2PNZZ pic.twitter.com/KZeMx9bDaz
