So Tony Stark took quite a nasty hit from Thanos at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. Not just the hit to the gut, mind you, but also losing several of his allies as well, including Spider-Man. For the time being, anyway. The trailer for Avengers: Endgame showed us Stark adrift and running low on supplies in space as he leaves a message for Pepper Potts. Things look grim for Mr. Iron Man, but he’s seen worse and chances are he’ll get some help from his friends on the way back to Earth. Maybe from Rocket Raccoon and Pepper Potts, perhaps?
Let’s turn to Reddit — I know, I know, but stick with me for a moment — to entertain one theory that a fan has put forward. Tony is in space. Rocket is one of the survivors of Thanos’ snap after he, Groot, and Thor arrived in Wakanda. With Groot snapped out of existence, Rocket will no doubt want to find out the status of the remaining Guardians. Because there’s no ship to utilize, the idea is that the remaining heroes will take Rocket to Stark Enterprises, where Pepper, who is also looking for Tony, will assist.
Through one of Stark’s ships, the two will explore the cosmos to locate Tony, but Pepper will also be wearing her “Rescue” armor. You know, the one from the leaks. Here, have a look at the suggestion in the post below.
What do you make of this theory? It would be a possible way to bring Rocket and Pepper together, though it’s equally possible that Tony does what an Iron Man does best and rescue himself in the upcoming Avengers film. And what about Nebula? After all, she survived the snap, so perhaps she could play a role in Tony’s potential aid as well. Let us know your thoughts on this theory in the comments below.
Avengers: Endgame will be released in theaters on April 26, 2019.
