‘Avengers: Endgame’ Theory Suggest Stan Lee Was Captain America All Along

A new Avengers: Endgame theory claims the characters Stan Lee played may have been Steve Rogers/Captain America the whole time.

While most believed the decision to end Avengers: Endgame with Captain America traveling back in time and living a happy life with Peggy Carter was a fitting conclusion to the character’s journey, it also raised a number questions concerning continuity and whether or not two version Steve Rogers existed in the timeline. Now, a new theory claims the character’s Stan Lee portrayed in the MCU films were actually the same person and that individual was none other than an older Captain America.

While Avengers: Endgame established that traveling back in time and altering events creates a new timeline rather than changing the current one, the theory suggests the Marvel Cinematic Universe we know is actually being the alternate universe Steve Rogers traveled to. While some may question how Stan Lee’s character could be in so many different locations in various periods of time, the theorist notes that Captain America traveled to the past with six Infinity Stones, Pym particles, and Mjolnir in hand, which would have made it feasible for him to venture to all of these places.

Do you think Stan Lee could have been Captain America all this time or are there too many holes in the theory? Share your thoughts in the comments section below!

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
