‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Concept Art Shows Thor With Jarnbjorn

Thor Avengers: Infinity WarA new piece of early concept art from Avengers: Infinity War shows Thor with his war axe known as Jarnbjorn.

The art in question sadly doesn’t give us a whole lot of context as to when he may have used this axe in the film. What we see appears to be an entire scene that was cut out before shooting even began. In it, we see Rocket Raccoon firing at an unseen enemy while Thor battles a giant snake with a battle axe as he holds the snake’s tooth. More than likely it was a sequence that was set between Thor leaving the Guardians of the Galaxy with Rocket and obtaining Stormbreaker.

The weapon that Thor has in the image is more then likely Jarnbjorn. In the comics, Thor used Jarnbjorn as his primary weapon before being considered worthy of Mjolnir. He also wielded it for a time after he lost Mjolnir during the Original Sin crossover event.

What do you all make of this concept art? Would you have like to see Rocket and Thor go on more adventures together in Avengers: Infinity War? Would you have liked to see them battle a giant snake side by side? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
