‘Avengers’: ‘Kang Dynasty’ & ‘Secret Wars’ Working Titles Reportedly Revealed

A brand new dessert!

Avengers: Secret Wars Marvel Studios

The Avengers have always been known for their love of shwarma. However, the working titles for Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars suggests a new favorite dessert is on the horizon.

Since almost the dawn of film, movies have used “working titles” to secure locations and materials without letting fans and the media know what they have planned. Some famous ones include The Dark Knight being Rory’s First Kiss and Titanic being Planet Ice. According to Cosmic Circus, the working titles for Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars are Apple Pie 1 and Apple Pie 2.

While not all working titles have a deeper meaning, some do. Cosmic Circus believes Apple Pie falls in the latter case, thinking the Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars titles serve as a reference to a famous Carl Sagan quote relating to building a universe to make Apple Pie. Though with Avengers: Kang Dynasty seeming to be going through a rework, it’s not clear if this reference will remain in the final film.

The future of the Avengers franchise

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is the first movie in a two-part finale to Marvel’s Multiverse Saga. It will be followed by Avengers: Secret Wars, rounding out Marvel Studios’ Phase 6. Both films are scheduled to arrive in theaters in 2025.

Destin Daniel Cretton is set to direct Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, with Jeff Loveness attached to write. Michael Waldron will write Avengers: Secret Wars, though there is no director attached to the project.

With the expansive Multiverse Saga and its star-studded cast at the helm, Marvel fans are undoubtedly on edge for the next two Avengers movies. Regardless of how fans interpret Robert Downey Jr.’s comments, one thing is certain: Marvel Studios has a grand vision in mind.
