Batwoman star Javicia Leslie has stated that, despite not having filmed any of the show’s second season, she already feels connected to her character.
Earlier this year, it was revealed the Ruby Rose would be leaving the role of Batwoman for the CW Arroverse show of the same name. The actress has since given a few reasons as to why she left the role and was replaced by actress Javicia Leslie. It’s currently unclear as to how Leslie’s new character will step into the role of Batwoman but the actress has made it clear that she already feels a connection to her character.
During a recent interview, Javicia Leslie talked about the importance of being the first black woman to portray Batwoman. She also revealed that she felt an immediate connection to the character due to a shared “quirky but ‘I’m a boss if I have to be’ type of mentality.'” How this will be implemented in the show, however, is currently unknown.
