Police in Moscow, Russia, towed a fan-made version of the Batmobile used by Ben Affleck’s Caped Crusader in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
When Ben Affleck made his debut as the Dark Knight in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman, his version of the classic DC hero came with a memorable version of the Batmobile. Equipped with lethal weapons that Ben Affleck’s Caped Crusader used to take out his enemies, this version of the batmobile appears to have inspired a fan in Russia to build a custom version for themself.
However, traffic police in Moscow spotted the custom Batmobile and towed the vehicle over concerns that failed to meet the standards of road safety regulations. According to a statement from Moscow’s branch of the Ministry of the Interior, the Batmobile was seized because it was “not manufactured within factory conditions” and police later determined that it was unlikely to be safe to use on public roads.
