Justice League star Ben Affleck dons a Jim Lee-inspired Batman suit in an awesome new concept design.
Ben Affleck made his debut as Bruce Wayne in Zack Snyder’s 2016 DC Comics movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. While reviews for the movie were mixed at best, many people seemed to agree that Ben Affleck was fantastic in the role. Unfortunately, the weight of the role took its toll on Ben Aflfeck and the actor dropped out of the role before eventually admitting to losing his passion for the character and having concerns over his sobriety.
This has not stopped fans from continuing to imagine what Ben Affleck could have looked like with different Batman costumes. Ben Affleck’s Batman notably had one of the most comic book-accurate outfits ever put on the big screen, often drawing comparisons to the Batman: Hush version of the character drawn by Jim Lee. Now, digital artist jscomicart has revealed what Ben Affleck may have looked like if the people behind DC Films had stuck even closer to the comics. You can see the actor with a Jim Lee-inspired Batsuit below.

After dropping out of the role, Robert Pattinson replaced Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight for Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Full plot details on the upcoming film are currently being kept under wraps, but we know that the film will revolve around a younger version of Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The Matt Reeves film will follow the Dark Knight during his early years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the hero’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new Batman trilogy with Robert Pattinson.
Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Dark Knight, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
The Batman is currently set to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
