The trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness revealed an updated design for Benedict Cumberbatch’s cloak.
Recently, Marvel Studios released the first official trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The film, which is directed by Sam Raimi and stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular hero boasts one of the most perilous adventures that any Avenger has embarked on.
Of course, fans took this as an opportunity to sort through all of the exciting new details to be found from the trailer. With exciting reveals such as the appearance of Strange Supreme from What If…? and teasing the role of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). We also got a look at the updated design of the Cloak of Levitation:
Doctor Strange’s cloak was previously designed in primary red in previous iterations. Here, we see him donning a blue patch on it as well. It’s safe to say that an updated cloak design will not be the only thing that changes for Stephen Strange.
Benedict Cumberbatch last appeared as Doctor Strange in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Here is the synopsis:
“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”
Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx, with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire.
