Benedict Cumberbatch will reportedly film his scenes for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3 before production starts on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Every Spider-Man film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far has featured Tom Holland’s wall crawler with a familiar face. Homecoming notably featured Tony Stark while Far From Home had Nick Fury, who was actually Talos. The next Spider-Man film from Marvel Studios is set to begin filming this month and it was reported earlier this week that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange will serve as the mentor this time around after meeting Holland’s Peter Parker in Avengers: Infinity War.

When the report came out that Benedict Cumberbatch was appearing in the Spider-Man film, there were no details on what he would film first since filming for Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is also starting soon. Deadline mentioned in their report that Cumberbatch will indeed film scenes for Spider-Man 3 first before moving onto Doctor Strange 2.

How much of a role do you think Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange will play in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3? Will it be similar to his appearance in Thor: Ragnarok? Will he restore Peter’s secret identity? Let us know in the comments section below!

Here is the official synopsis for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Far From Home:

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
