Sony and Marvel Studios begin production on Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3 next week in New York.

Although the ongoing pandemic is causing problems for a number of films and TV shows from a variety of studios, Sony and Disney will start production on Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3 in New York next week. The news comes soon after it was revealed Jamie Foxx is returning to the franchise to reprise his role as Electro – although in a now-deleted post, he confirmed that he won’t have the same blue appearance like he did in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

But a recent photo posted by a fan in New York revealed Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3 will start filming in New York next week as a filming notice was spotted with an October 16 date on it for Serenity Now, the film’s working title. Due to Jamie Foxx returning to play Electro, many fans are already speculating that Spider-Man 3 will be affected by WandaVision and it’ll set up a live-action version of Spider-Verse. Although it remains unclear if this is case, it’d be fascinating to see Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield share the screen as Tom Holland. Take a look at the filming notice below.

What do you make of the Spider-Man 3 news? Do you think we’ll see set photos of Tom Holland soon? Do you think it’ll introduce other versions of the Wall-Crawler? Sound-off in the comments below!

Here is the official synopsis for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Far From Home:

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks is quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks. Spider-Man and Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) join forces to fight the havoc unleashed across the continent but all is not as it seems.

Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland, Jake Gyllenhaal, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, Numan Acar, J.B.
