The first reactions to Black Adam are here, teasing the latest DC Comics movie starring Dwayne Johnson.

Black Adam is set to open in theaters next week but several critics have already had the chance to check out the latest DC Extended Universe movie. Following the Black Adam world premiere last night, Warner Bros. has lifted its official embargo regarding reactions to the movie.

What’s the word on Black Adam?

Most of the critics who have already seen Black Adam are describing the movie as an action-packed offering, with Dwayne Johnson’s titular anti-hero and the Justice Society of America being highlights. However, things aren’t looking good when it comes to the film’s plot and its main villain, Sabbac, played by Marwan Kenzari. Check out a few reactions below.

Black Adam is currently tracking to open somewhere between $70-75 million at the North American box office, making it one of Dwayne Johnson’s biggest launches. If the word of mouth on the film is positive, we could even see a higher number than that at the end of next week.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra from a script written by by Adam Sztykiel and Rory Haines & Sohrab Noshirvani, Black Adam stars Dwayne Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, Bodhi Sabongui and Pierce Brosnan.

Black Adam arrives in theaters on October 21, 2022. Be sure to continue following us for all the latest news regarding the film and to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
