Angela Bassett may be making her return to the world of science fiction! The Black Panther star is rumored to be in talks to join the Star Wars universe.
Angela Bassett is no stranger to the world of science fiction. While most fans know her for her role as Queen Ramonda in the Black Panther franchise, she also played Amanda Waller in the failed 2011 Green Lantern film starring Ryan Reynolds. Yet, it seems that experience didn’t scare her out of space for good, as a new rumor by scooper DanielRPK suggests the actress is in talks to join the Star Wars universe in a currently undisclosed role.
With both The Mandalorian & Grogu and the untitled Rey-focused Star Wars film both set to begin production soon, it’s unclear what movie Angela Bassett would be attached to if she accepted the role. There’s also a bevy of Disney Plus shows coming out of the galaxy far, far away, both animated and live-action, that she could be cast in. Though given her recent Oscar nomination for playing Queen Ramonda in the Black Panther sequel, it wouldn’t be shocking to see her as a main player in one of the movies to hit the big screen.
