Blumhouse’s ‘Spawn’ Reboot Movie Gets An Official Title

Spawn gets a new title!

BlumHouse Spawn

Spawn is on his way back to the big screen! Blumhouse has revealed the official title for the long-awaited reboot of the iconic comic book character.

Ever since this new wave of superhero films began, fans have been salivating at the thought of another Spawn movie. Hellboy got the reboot treatment, not once, but twice since Al Simmons last graced the silver screen! However, it seems the wait may finally be over, as Blumhouse has revealed the official title of the upcoming film.

The title page of the script was unveiled on Blumhouse’s official Twitter/X account. This reveals that the reboot will take the interesting name of King Spawn. Along with that, fans now know that the movie has three writers: Matt Mixon, Malcolm Spellman, and Scott Silver.

Who Is Attached To The King Spawn Reboot?

Blumhouse has tapped a superstar team to helm their upcoming Spawn reboot. Jamie Foxx will be playing the anti-hero Al Simmons in King Spawn, with a script penned by Matt Mixon, Malcolm Spellman and Scott Silver. The trio has worked on a number of high-profile superhero projects before, including Falcon and the Winter Soldier and 2019’s Joker.

Jason Blum, who’s the chief in charge of Blumhouse productions, revealed early last year that the Spawn reboot is eyeing to hit theaters in 2025. This suggests, especially with the announcement of the King Spawn title, that production on the film is set to start sooner rather than later.
