Brie Larson is excited and optimistic about the future of Captain Marvel in the MCU.

We are now approaching three years since Brie Larson made her debut as Captain Marvel in the MCU. Both in her debut solo film and in Avengers: Endgame, we got a sense at how she is one of, if not the most powerful Avenger in the franchise. The actress just wrapped filming her upcoming sequel The Marvels, and as she reflects on the last three years, she has nothing but positive things to say.

While speaking with Insider, Brie Larson revealed that the excitement she has in bringing Captain Marvel to life onscreen in the MCU is still strong:

“The novelty is not even close to wearing off. It’s the thrill of a lifetime. It’s the greatest honor and beyond my wildest expectations that I could help provide this symbol for people. Three years have just been the beginning for me of getting to see what the importance of having characters like this can do for people. It can bring strength, it can bring confidence, it can bring community, and so we’re just getting started and I’m really excited for people to see what’s next.”

Brie Larson last appeared as Captain Marvel in the mid-credits scene of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The Academy Award-winning actress will return in the upcoming MCU film, The Marvels, where she will be joined by Ms. Marvel star Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan and WandaVision star Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau.
