A new report reveals the massive budget for Christopher Nolan highly-anticipated Tenet.
The next feature film from acclaimed director Christopher Nolan is a feature shrouded in mystery titled Tenet. While little is known about Tenet at this time, trailers for the newest Christopher Nolan film indicate the project is one of the filmmaker’s most ambitious works to date.
Now, a new report by Variety reveals that Christopher Nolan’s Tenet was produced on a budget of $205 million. As the outlet notes, Christopher Nolan’s Tenet will have to become “a massive commercial hit” in order to turn a profit.
Full plot details on Tenet are currently under wraps, though Warner Bros. officially describes the film as “an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage.” Production on Christopher Nolan’s Tenet took place across seven countries.
Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, Tenet stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh, and Himesh Patel. Christopher Nolan also serves as a producer alongside his wife Emma Thomas, with Thomas Hayslip on board as an executive producer.
Tenet will be released in theaters on July 17, 2020.
