Will the Guardians of the Galaxy return sooner than expected? A new set photo from Captain America: Brave New World provides a surprising connection to the cosmic side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
A lot of interesting news has been finding its way to the web during the reshoots for Captain America: Brave New World. Fans have expected the MCU’s upcoming sequel to be weird given the presence of characters like The Leader. However, no fan could have expected the film to be connected to the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy.
A new set photo from Captain America: Brave New World reveals a rack of strange, dead creatures. At first, fans believed these to be a product of The Leader’s experiments. However, eagle-eyed MCU fans recognized them as the Orloni, a rodent alien featured prominently in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. The full set photo can be seen below.
Are The Guardians of the Galaxy In Captain America: Brave New World?
Fans are likely jumping out of their seats at the prospect of the MCU’s most iconic cosmic team making an appearance in Captain America: Brave New World. However, it’s not likely any member of the Guardians of the Galaxy will appear in person. Instead, given what’s already known about this movie, the creature is likely meant to be a shorthand for all alien cultures.
It’s no secret that Captain America: Brave New World is going to be a more political movie than many other films in the MCU. Knowing that, and seeing the surrounding appliances that signal an outdoor kitchen, it’s likely that this set photo is giving fans their first look at an alien immigrant community that’s set to appear in the film. Either that, or the Guardians of the Galaxy packed one heck of a lunch on their way to Earth!
Captain America: Brave New World is currently slated to hit theaters on February 14, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
