The Falcon flies once more! A new promotional image for Captain America: Brave New World shows off the suit Joaquin Torres will don in the upcoming film.
A lot of complaints have been slung toward Captain America: Brave New World for how Marvel changed Sam Wilson’s Captain America suit. However, the project has kept a surprisingly tight lid on the costumes Joaquin Torres will be sporting. That all changed this past weekend with a promotional image that surfaced on Twitter, giving fans their first full look at Falcon’s suit.
This suit is fairly similar to the one Joaquin Torres wears in the comics, having a green and brown color scheme and a military-grade headpiece. Captain America: Brave New World spices up the costume with a yellow visor, with the metallic wings having a similar design to the one worn by Sam Wilson in previous Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.
Captain America’s Mutant Mayhem
While Joaquin Torres won’t be a metahuman in Captain America: Brave New World, this doesn’t mean the project will be without mutants. Shira Haas has been confirmed to play Sabra in the project, a hero best known for their role as an agent of the Israeli secret service, an origin story that has caused quite a bit of controversy for the film.
The film is also set to feature a number of mutated characters alongside Sabra and Joaquin Torres. Specifically, both of the villains in Captain America: Brave New World; Red Hulk and The Leader, are humans mutated through exposure to gamma radiation. So even if Falcon doesn’t have powers of his own, the film is set to be filled with super-powered action!
