Harrison Ford Red Hulk Captain America 4 Marvel Comics

Harrison Ford is gearing up for his highly-anticipated introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World set for release in 2025, Ford will take over the role of General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross from the late William Hurt. According to previous media reports, Ford’s iteration of the character will undergo a transformation similar to Bruce Banner’s Hulk transformation.

The brief footage from the movie revealed at CinemaCon recently showcased Ford in top form as he tries to recruit Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson to help rebuild the Avengers. Adding to the excitement, a recent merchandise leak has seemingly revealed a glimpse of Ford as the Red Hulk. While details are scarce, the leak offers fans an idea of what Ford will look like as the raging Red Hulk.

The merchandise reveal comes via the Cosmic Marvel X account, check it out below. The reveal also features looks at other MCU characters like Sabra, Falcon and Diamondback.

It’s currently unclear if Harrison Ford’s General Thunderbolt Ross will be the main threat of Captain America 4 even if he does transform into the Red Hulk. His Marvel Cinematic Universe future after Brave New World is also unclear.

Despite being one of the earliest comic characters to appear in the MCU, Thaddeus Ross has only played a supporting role thus far. The character’s transformation into Red Hulk in Captain America: Brave New World will also mark their transformation into an actual villain. The film will also serve as Harrison Ford’s Marvel debut, taking over the role from late actor William Hurt, who first played the character in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk.

What to expect from the Captain America sequel

Details regarding the plot of Captain America: Brave New World are being kept under wraps. Thunderbolt Ross (Harrison Ford) and The Leader (Tim Blake Nelson) are expected to serve as the main villains of the movie, which is currently in production for a February 2025 release.

Julius Onah is directing Captain America: Brave New World, working from a script by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson. The cast of the movie also includes Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley and Shira Haas as Sabra, with Xosha Roquemore on board in an undisclosed role.

Captain America: Brave New World is currently slated to hit theaters on February 14, 2025.
