New ‘Captain Marvel’ Footage To Air On ESPN In January

It may be hard to believe, but we got our first official full length trailer for Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck’s upcoming superhero feature Captain Marvel almost a whole month ago already. The trailer, which boasts over twenty nine million views on YouTube, showcased Brie Larson’s titular hero in action for the very first time and offered teases as to what will soon come when the film ultimately releases in March of 2019.

Now, thanks to ESPN, we have official confirmation that a brand new look at Captain Marvel at the upcoming College Football National Championship game on January 7, 2019. Currently, it is not known what exactly will be shown during the game. It could be a brand new trailer, extended tv spot or a short clip that offers a couple of never before seen sequences. What ever the “new look” is, one thing is for sure – we will be seeing new footage/stills from the film in just over a week from today. You can see the full announcement below.

Here’s the official synopsis for the film:

The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Set in the 1990s, “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck with a script from them as well as Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Jac Schaeffer, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Annette Bening, Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.

Captain Marvel is scheduled to be released in theatres on March 8, 2019, by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

Tony Stark Is Adrift In Space After His Showdown With Thanos

While some assumed that the genius billionaire would find a way to return to Earth, it appears Tony is adrift in space on a vessel with limited supplies and oxygen.

However, it appears Scott Lang managed to escape the realm on his own and brought the van containing the way to the alternate dimension with him.

After months of speculation, the Avengers: Endgame trailer essentially confirmed that Hawkeye will assume the Ronin mantle when he returns. Furthermore, Captain America line about losing family being said over footage of Clint Barton's appearance suggests that the archer's family perished in the decimation and their deaths prompted him to take on a new identity.

Though all may seem hopeless, our heroes aren't heading into their next showdown with Thanos without a plan. Hopefully, it will work, because Steve Rogers certainly seems concerned about what they will do if the Avengers fail for a second time.
