New ‘Captain Marvel’ Carol Danvers Vs. Mar-Vell TV Spot Released

Mar-Vell Captain Marvel Brie Larson Jude Law

This new Captain Marvel TV spot has no shortage of new footage but does have a distressing lack of Mar-Vell (Jude Law).

During the production of Captain Marvel, Jude Law’s role remained a mystery to fans. After some time, it seemed plausible that Law would be portraying Mar-Vell and recently it was finally revealed that he would, in fact, be playing the iconic hero. Fans of the comics may recognize Mar-Vell as the original Captain Marvel before Carol Danvers took the moniker.

A new TV spot for Captain Marvel has been released titled Carol Danvers Vs. Mar-Vell. Unfortunately, that fight isn’t anywhere to be seen in the new promo and Mar-Vell is only seen in one brief moment from a distance. Despite the lack of Mar-Vell in the TV spot, fans can see plenty of new footage in the 30-second promo such as new action with Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) and the Skrulls. Check out the TV spot below.

Captain Marvel takes place in the ’90s and features a digitally de-aged Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) alongside Danvers after she crash lands on Earth. Although this film takes place in the past, fans will be able to see a modern-day Carol Danvers in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe event film Avengers: Endgame.
