We are only a few weeks out from the next big Marvel movie in Captain Marvel, which means marketing for the film has kicked into high gear, so yet another new television spot was inevitable.
The latest spot highlights the new captain’s powers as a voiceover from Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury mentions Carol Danvers’ superhuman strength and ability to shoot lasers from her hands. At the same time, we see footage of Captain Marvel exhibiting said powers, whether she is blowing holes in the tops of trains or blasting unfortunate enemies with focused beams of energy.
We also get a little more of Carol’s colorful personality. She playfully teases Nick Fury about finally asking a relevant question, humorously blows some strands of messy hair out of her face during a destructive pursuit of a shapeshifting Skrull and asks a little girl how she looks before the two share an enthusiastic high-five.
