Rumors of Channing Tatum’s involvement as Gambit in Deadpool 3 stretch all the way back to July 2023, with Hollywood insider MyTimeToShineHello teasing his involvement. Since then, every few weeks we see a new rumor of him donning a comic-accurate costume or describing his role in more detail. However, a new IMDB listing showing Tatum and his stunt double on the cast list for the film has reignited these rumors all over again.
It’s important to note that anyone can create an account on IMDB and make edits to movie pages, including that of Deadpool 3. However, this is just one more piece of evidence on the pile that supports Channing Tatum’s appearance as Gambit in the film. Despite this, it’s incredibly unlikely Tatum’s proposed Gambit film ever gets made, with this likely being his only cameo as the character.

Shawn Levy is directing Deadpool 3 after working with Ryan Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project. The upcoming Marvel Studios project also marks a reunion between Levy and Hugh Jackman as the two worked together on Real Steel.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are developing the Deadpool 3 script after penning the first two installments in the series. The Molyneux sisters worked on a previous draft of the project.
