Deadpool 3 is seemingly set to unite all of Fox’s X-Men characters in one final hurrah. If this latest rumor can be believed, this seems to extend to those with canceled films, such as Channing Tatum’s Gambit.
This rumor comes from one of the most consistent insiders for Deadpool 3: MyTimeToShineHello. In their first scoop for Instagram, the leaker says that Channing Tatum has already filmed his cameo as Remy LeBeau, a.k.a. Gambit, in Deadpool 3.
A Gambit film starring Channing Tatum had been in the works since 2014 at Fox, serving as yet another X-Men spin-off along the lines of Deadpool or X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The film was caught in development limbo for years before ultimately being canceled by Disney in 2019. It’s no shock that Deadpool 3 would poke fun at this situation in a sequel focused on the multiverse, though hopefully, the project serves as closure for Tatum on such a tumultuous chapter of his career.
